Well I got the Autometer Phantom gauges put in tonight. Don't have the boost hooked up because I'm waitin on the boost bolt, but tell me what ya think about it? I used the Autometer angle rings to point them more towards me.

Aggie,

Looks good to me, too.

I am getting ready to put gauges in my truck, too. I want them to be more at eye level, but I don't like the pillar mounted gauges. I want to keep the handle there. I also looked at the column mounted ones, but didn't like how they blocked the odo and some of the idiot lights. I am thinking about making a dash top mount that would have space for two gages and a place for an e-brake switch. I'd like to mount it above the stack near the edge of the dash. I don't like the dash mounts I've seen becuase they sit too far away (near the base of the windshield). I like the concept and have done a "mock-up" with a block of foam and it puts the gauges almost at eye-level and nearly straight ahead. It also gives me a place for the e-brake switch!

I'll post pictures if I ever find the time to mold a mount (most likely vacuum or stretch formed ABS).

Anybody else try this?

BTW, I see your shift indicator rotates around the shift knob like mine, too. I gave up trying to reset it. It just keeps on spinning. Makes some people wonder what that shift pattern really is!

New Gauges !!

The dash top mount that you want maybe the one that Banks has with their set up. I had their gages in my "96", got the lower mount first but found they were too low for my taste. Ordered the dash mount and liked them @ eye level, have the A pillar in the 04.
