A Cummins Funeral

TDR,

I am headed to the hospital tonight with my wife so we can see what the next generation of diesel enthusiasts is going to look like. His name will be Jack. I figure by the time he is 15 my old 12v will be ready to turn about 315K which is not to old to recieve some real ragging. Please wish me and my wife luck and for those who are christians remember us in your prayers :)

Thanks,

He'll love it, atleast my daughter likes riding in mine and she's only 2 years old.

Congrats on the new arrival, we're expecting another one (hopefully a boy) in May.

Nathan

Congratulations!

Enjoy them whilst you have them because the time goes too quickly. My kids were so use to riding on bumpy country dirt roads while they were in the oven that as soon as they would get in a car as babies they would be cutting Zs. :)

well he is here 7lbs 13oz 20" healthy boy. He has not been out of the house yet but you can bet that he will be in the dually this weekend :) i want to see how he likes the 375hp cummins seat vibrator pack and play ;)

thanks for the comments

ndurbin good luck on your new baby on the way

I had a two baby girls a couple of years ago. Now they are grown up, married, and gone. The time sure went by quickly. Enjoy your new son. :)

Congrats to you and the Mrs. Cat. My daughter is almost 8 months old and she spent quite a few nights in my straight piped '99 to get her to sleep the first couple of months here.

I can put her in the '05 and start down the road and she is out shortly most of the time. My daughter like your son will grow up loving the sound of the Cummins. Oo.

Again, Congrats. I can't tell you how much fun my wife and I are having with our daughter. She is a true gift from God. :)

i hope you live in the country or else your neighbors must really not like you :) cranking up the old truck at 2am ;)... ... but let me tell you after a few sleep deprived nights you will do anything to get them to sleep... ... i found the only thing that works for me is my wife chest or the vacuum cleaner. The truck works to but as soon as i turn it off he wakes up. That would be an expensive fuel bill but if thats all that worked he would grow up in the dodge. :) Thanks for the kind words and as you put it "A gift from God" is right. i cant wait until we start building his first truck. . it will be a cummins diesel of course

Cat,

We do live in the country. My wife and I love ranching, so our kids will grow up in it if we have anything to do with it. They may not live it, but they will grow up in it and know what work is and where money comes from. I did and I am thankful for it every day.

You are right... after a few sleep deprived nights... whatever works shall be done. There were nights early on that we made more than one trip down the road. Our running joke with / about our daughter is that "She could have gone to Harvard or Yale, but we spent her college fund riding her around to get her to sleep. So, junior college / state university it is!"

Again, I can't tell you how much fun this is. I would not trade it for the world or any amount of money. I turned 36 in October, so this is one of the things in life I was beginning to think I might not get to enjoy and that makes it all the more special and enjoyable. Now to get her some brothers and / or sisters!

When I was 3 or 4 months old my parents took me to New York in a 18 wheeler. My mother told me that was the best I sleep for her.

congrats on your new son.

AH, congratulations... :D

It wont be long and he will be telling the bus driver he needs bigger injectors to make the bus a little faster. . :-laf ... like mine did on the first week of school this year. I couldnt have been more proud... :-laf

Congrats on the newest Cummins addict. If you haven't adjusted your valves yet, that little sucker could get to #6's real easy :-laf ... Soon as he can swing a hammer, bring him over and we'll do my u-joints.

Timmy

Timmy,

:-laf :-laf

thanks! i am learning to live on 4 hours of sleep right now. i am having to hang around the house alot these days so if you want to change some stuff on your truck i got the tools. this weekend i changed the oil, brakes (new calipers and pads) valve cover gaskets, trannys lines, greased doors and hinges with lithium grease, flushed the radiator. Next week i will do GSK's, 0 plate, afc spring. my truck is going to be like new with 450hp by the time he is one. :-laf
