This is a great kit..... 3 hour install, quiet I didnt think it was running... ... The only problem I had was removing old pump I dont know how someone could grab a allen wrench and remove and replace an OEM pump alone side the road lol... . Any way its a great system and I made my choice on simplicity and cost customer service OMG is terrific , also Im not sold on the air removal theory F. A. S. S. claims anyways..... I highly recomend The Glacier Diesel Power Syetem... and will be adding more of their product soon... .....

So what does your idle fuel pressure read at now, with the new Glacier system install? How difficult was the install? Inquiring minds want to know!

I was simple But like I said above the OEM fuel pump at least for me was the biggest time consumer . I couldnt get my arms by everything... ... ... . 20psi Idle I havent check WOT yet because I only have a Test gauge... . The install itself was easier than changing the oil in it... ... . and you dont have to drop the tank 03-04. 5 models

i just left the factory lift pump in there... . figure it's not hurting anything just hangin out in there. plus some warm day when i'm bored i can pull it out for something to do. :)

If on a 01 truck the OEM FP is different... ... I wish I could have left it on... ;)

So if I want to install one in my 06, I can leave the factory lift pump (in tank) alone? I really dont want to have to drop the fuel tank.

I have mine wired with my stock pump. Never had to drop the tank, the Walbro just comes on with the stock pump and shuts off with it. Pretty good set-up. Just make sure your stocker never farts out or you might be up a creek.

If you want an independent fuel pump system you need to drop the tank. There have apparrently been some drawbacks trying to pull fuel through the stock lift pump on in-tank models.

I dropped my tank last night to install a fuel pickup for my espar heater so all I did was put in something capable of handling a walbro lift pump and will use one pickup for both the espar and the walbro. Stupid me though. . I should have done the wiring modification at the time the tank was out of the way.

Anyway the tank drop is not that big of deal. Just make sure you have the tank near empty and read about how to disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connector.

btw. . I also moved the tank vent while I had the tank off... that is a good reason to drop the tank anyway. Talk about easy fillup now.

I recently learned that the easiest way to get at almost anything in the engine compartment is by removing the six (maybe 7) fenderwell screw and sliding out the liner. Its tricky at first but very quick after you've done it once. :D
