Well it happened the stock slushbox went out at about 145000. It was one of our cold mornings here in MN -28 f. I had let the truck warm up, and off to work I went. I got about a mile amd went around acorner and when I got back on the pedal "nothing" . I thought it had been slipping the day before but I didn't know if it was just my tires slipping at a stop sign. that is what I hoped it was anyway. Well I made a call to Todd at t&c Diesel performance they are the installer of the Goerand trans. All I can say is WOW! this thing is so much better then the stock system. The stall is 400 rpm lower then stock. when you put it in drive it just want to go. I love it! driving around town you can actually feel it shift like a truck should. There is so much less pedal input needed to drive its crazy. My mpg will be going up, I am not through my first tank yet so I don't know but with the lower rpm's it will only go up. Anyway t&c diesel did a great job and got me back on the road fast. Thanks goes out to them. Now I just have to start selling some plazma and maybe a kidney to pay for it and all will be good.

I got mine right at a year ago, like you say it is so different you almost can't really explain it, so fun to drive, I have about 50k miles on mine, do you tow, sometimes twoing my rig weighs almost 30k loaded, I love it!!!!!!!! I'd recommend a Goerend to anyone and Dave is a topnotch fellow, glad you are happy with it

I do tow my skid loader and many other things I am looking forward to hooking that up and seeing how it does!! I was told by my local dealer to put in a remanufactured dodge trans it would be about $4300 plus tax. When I was all said and done I spent $4800. I also had my transfer case drained and new fluid put in. the trans has a 3 year 100,000 warranty and the converter (triple disk) is good for life. the stock reman. was 3 year 80,000. In my mind this was a no brainer. I will also be puttimg in a ats cammander to control when the converter locks up. That will be done at a later time.

I spent a little less that $4,000 on mine (I think) but I got the new standard (Dodge) input shaft after talking to Dave, he said I didn't need the solid steel beefed up input shaft unless I was going to drag race (I'm 55 yrs old) , go to Goerend Transmission Incorporated and click on whatever State you are in to locate an installer however others can install them, these guys have juswt been through Dave's factory (is my understanding), the 3 year 100k warranty is great too!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave Goerend is a great guy. Got to meet him in person when I had the transmission installed in the '02. Still have no complaints with it whatsoever.
