new guy here wanting to just say hi!!

hi. i am a newbie on your wonderful tdr forum, but i have been reading it on and off for the last year or so. now that i have pretty much decided to get a 2004 3500 model ram, i thought it might be a good time to join.



been reading the posts that say that the new ram is ugly, and when it first came out, i thought that it fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, but now that i have been seeing it around all over the place in the 1500 model, i have grown to like the styling. i still slightly more like the look of the ford SD and the fact that it has a proper crew cab, but i am not a fan of that navistar engine under the hood. i have a v8 diesel now, and i don't ever think i want another again [well, maybe a 8v92 with electronics - i think they are kinda cool... ]



now hopefully that darn egr system will keep it's ugly head away from the 2004's and keeps on schedule for the 2004. 5's that'll keep me a happy camper... .....

I kinda like the front end of the new ones, but I'm very disappointed that they didn't come out with a crewcab.



Glad to have you aboard. Check out the chatroom sometime. It's active around 9:00pm central time every night. We get a few other Canadian guys on there quite a bit too.

Welcome Nick. If you've been lurking here for a year or so then you already know that this is the place to go to for straight answers on almost anything even remotely related to the Dodge/Cummins.



I still haven't gotten used to the 3rd generation styling - but then there are folks who have never gotten on-board with the 2nd generation yet and still prefer the original 1st gen. To each his own...

I Agree with dave but also would like to include that the overall design of the new rig is suprisingly well rounded out package.

But on the otherhand D/C is going to drop the ball for the end of time on many ques and flaws.
