First Florida Meeting!!!

new Jersey anyone?

Hey guys!. . I've been reading all the posts on this website since June and am convinced that diesel is the way to go! I first fell in love with the cummins engine when a black 3500 pulled up next to me at a stoplight and began to rumble. I plan on buying within the next two months and was looking for some advice and opinions on transmission types and other features of the truck I'm not familiar with. I live in San Antonio,Tx and was wandering if there are any members here in town or nearby that be able to recommend a good dealership?

Welcome to the TDR. I see you did not get a reply to your question. I have seen good and bad dealers reported in Texas by some members. I suggest that you do a search on dealers then narrow down to those in Texas. You might also try sending a email to some of the members in your search area.

Good luck with your purchase.

There is a dealer on I45 at Madisonville area, that has some good prices. Also dealer in Bonham used to advertise great prices. Don't know if you want to travel that far. But it is $$$$. They both have 800 numbers but don't know then now. Might check web for numbers. They usually have a good selection.

Get the 6-speed transmission. I haven't heard much complaining about it. The auto transmission won't hold up if you plan to Bomb and the five-speed, although decent, has some known problems. You won't regret buying a CTD.
