I've just recently inst. a Buckstop front bumper/grill guard that is 190 LBS. heavier than my stock one was, plus I'll be adding a wench soon and it already is too heavy. (It's bottoming out going over speed bumps on my street even at very slow speed. )

I'm ordering HD Dodge springs (#5211-3988AA) Monday and would like to get some pointers from some of you guys that have done this install.

I've installed coil springs before, but not on a 4WD.

I have been told it's hard to get the axle low enough to insert the spring even after compressing it with a spring compressor.

Any info. on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Ray

Remove driver side track bar bolt, let the axle sag as far as it will go then get the factory jack for changing a tire and put it on the upper control arm mount on the axle side and the other end on the frame and crank away until you have clearance. Do one side at a time and it works like a champ. That's how I got my Kore coils in and I'm sure they are taller than the factory heavy duty ones, they were taller than my snow plow package springs. to get the tack bar to line back up just jack up the passenger side of the axle until everything is lined back up and put it all back together.
