I will be getting a Ram in a few weeks, of course the first thing I will do is take off the silencer ring, but I have a few questions. I have noticed a few rams that have exhausts that sound like a semi. I was wondering what they did? I am planing to get the Banks Power Pack, with their 4" exhaust, do they have different mufflers? Will this upgrade make my truck sound as good as a semi? How much power will I make with the Banks(twin ram intake)?

Jacob, before you spend your money, I would like to advise you to go to the forum archives and read some of the threads there and then make up your mind as to which power enhancing products you will purchase for your new Ram. I think the enlightenment you will find in these threads will give you great knowledge and enjoyment in your quest for the ever elusive state of "ENOUGH HORSEPOWER". I hope I have answered some of your queries, or at the very least have turned you down the right path. In particular, I would follow the wisdom of the Great Scholars such as Joe Donnely, Hvac, Piers, Ted Jannetty,Old School And so many others.
Always the humble student, Don Quaethem

I totally agree on doing some research before committing to the "Banks Power Pack. Its alot of money to commit to when there are other mod's that will work just as good and possibily better. Another thing to consider is how will the truck be used. And bomb from there. Just a thought or my 2 pennies... Good Luck. .

Jacob82, save your money on the Banks kit. I have had everything up to and including the twin ram manifold on my truck, all of which are now sitting on a shelf in my shop, excluding the exhaust system, it went to the dump. You can spend the same money and get far more power from BD or JRE, and they also provide far better customer service. Banks does make a good kit but it's not worth the gold plated price they want, and their customer service is lacking. Oh I forgot I do have one item left on my tuck from Banks, the K&N air filter, that was worth 2 grand!!!! #ad

DBR, Why did you take off the dual ram? I am pretty happy with the way my truck runs, as happy as a bombing addict can be. But there is one thing that I wish I could improve = the look under the hood. I would have to grind the Banks name off the dual ram and then coat it with something, but I do think it looks cool.

Just the other night while towing a back hoe I had pulled off the freeway and was fueling up the back hoe and a chevy gasser guy wanted to see what was under my hood and there is really nothing mush to see. I one way I guess that kind of cool, but it would be funner to have something wild under there.
