Please be advised that I have been informed that the web host has some
problems with the front page extensions that they loaded and I am going to
have to remove my web page and re-install it. So, if the site disappears
for a day, it will be back up very soon after.
This hitch is rated at 10,000 pound weight distribution with 1,000 pound
tongue weight. It is rated at 5,000 pound weight carrying and 500 pound
tongue weight. Here is my viewpoint and I will hold to it as legal
requires that I do. Class 4 ratings are the same as my hitch. the entire
towing package rating -- of each component -- must not be exceeded. If the
towing platform is rated at the same values of my hitch, fine. If they are
rated lower, my hitch will allow additional weight above the rating of the
lowest rated component. Liability and all that.
Now, I will quote prices to distributors that are firm through August --
steel prices are eating my lunch. The list price on the web site is
$599. 95 and I will give a $12 dollar discount to those who pay by check --
AFTER the check clears. Shipping charges are added to all prices -- it
costs $44 to shop to Oregon last month. So, any sales would have to be
explained as the price presented plus shipping.

I have worked with this individual in the recent past in a professional, engineering relationship. He is truly a professional, very honest and very straight-forward. As I understand it, he has several patents pending on suspension and towing accessories and has a 12k and 14k hitch coming. Take a look and see what you think.
