My BMW R-1100 was stolen

What do you guys think? www.paratoys.com

They cost about as much as a snowmobile or ATV, but can be used all 4 seasons, of course not recommended in high winds or heavy rain, but very "all-terrain" nonetheless.

I need a car or truck first, but one of these is definitely on the list!

I'm not sure which paramotor yet, but the ParaToys 28 wing or Action 27/29 sound good for my weight (160 + 50 or 60 for the paramotor), around 210/220 ready to fly.

Do you really want to strap a lawnmower to your back?

There was (operative word being "was") a fellow that had one of these by me. The third crash was the one that did him in. Hitting the ground/trees/powerlines is one thing, but hitting them with a lawnmower on your back is something else altogether.

If you're into the whole open air flying experience, I'd lean toward an ultralight. At least you'd have full control over all three axis. I flew one in Colorado a few years back and it was one heck of a rush! And you don't have a 50 pound chunk of metal and a 3000 rpm meat cleaver strapped to your back.

Probably very fun! I have looked at buying a kiteboarding setup, a much smaller kite and lower heights. I am terrible about constant vigilance of my equipment, checking approx 30 ft of nylon for seam integrity, paragliding is probably not for me. I'd be a statistic in record time!

I ride with one between my legs now! Well, no prop on it. I know what you mean, but they have been made much safer recently. I have looked at Challenger Ultralights but they are even more expensive.

Yeah, but the difference is that the blade is between you and the ground, not chasing you to the ground at 20 mph.

"Much safer" - it's all relative. If I took a pressure washer to one of my garbage cans it would be much cleaner. But I still wouldn't eat out of it...

They do look like one heck of a rush, I'll give you that.

i saw one of those home video shows where a guy built one of those that was electric, ac apparently it had a long extension cord, it was funny watching him take off and get out a couple hundred feet and run out of cord and it yanks out and he falls out of the sky

This is my hobby...
