Almost New ROKON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I, recently, heard that Honda is having problems with their new 5-speed automatic transmission. I'm not sure if this is just a rumor, or not.

Do any of you know if this is true & what the problem, actually, is?

I hear that the Civic, with the auto. is rated at 40 mpg. (highway). Is this accurate?

Thanks.

I would say BS on 40 mpg maybe with a 60 mph wind behind you but then again I am not parcial to honda anyway . As for the transmission problem's I have not heard of any . Reason I am saying BS is the auto maker's have been cought in recent times claiming better then actual mpg on the car's they sell.

I dunno. I have an '04 5spd which will easily get over 40 (about 42-43) mpg at 65 mph. But it's a manual. I believe it was only rated at 32/38 mpg. But as for your original transmission problem question, I can't answer. Sorry.

Blackbear,

Could you please tell me what "honda line" is? I've never heard of it.

BTW, I do not own any Honda products. I was just curious about the problem that I had heard about. I own two Dodge Cummins products. I'm a bit surprised that Honda would have problems with their auto. trans.

The NEW mileage quotes for the "08 Civic's is 36 mpg's, as opposed to 40 for the '07's.
