I'm leaning toward the Harwood. I looks cool and I've never heard anything bad about them and they've been in every hotrod mag I ever heard of.

COME ON, GIVE ME OPINIONS!!!!

Batmobile???

My wife thinks the ram air hoods look like the bat mobile!!! LMAO

Now I need a little encouragement

I'm still leaning towards the harwood (it's $210 cheaper)

but there's a company that makes a steel cowl induction hood for $399 i just can't find the site tonight.

I don't know how to post a link to another thread, but if you go to the second page of threads in this forum you will see one on ducted hoods. I don't think there is a website for the air bulldog but don't know for sure.

aftermarket hoods

Ihave a steel hood made by refelections,a local truck shop called the truck stop, got mine,it's a cowl induction type non functional and cost was same as stock, replaced at repair time from an accident. If ya need a phone number email me,I don't think they have a website. A search my find them.

Andy hows it going?Iwill think about it it seems I know a lot of you guys over there. I am working on a new truck with two hy-35 and that would be a good place to show it off. I;ll let you know the closer it gets.

If I was looking for a hood, just for looks, I would go with the East Coasts Customs one. The high profile scoop would look good with a 24valve Turbo decal on the sides of the scoop.

Air Bulldog induction hood

IMO, you can't buy a better performing or aesthetically pleasing hood/induction system. I've had nothing but positive comments from people checking out my Air Bulldog hood! Well, there was one snide remark... it came from a jealous NW BOMBer... the one that has the Ram that squats low in the a$$ end... like a turtle taking a sh*t. :D

If not looking for ram air, I like the look of the one you had

It looks like the hood of a pontiac Firebird

Also the dominator looks good.

The wife speaks up!!

She like thes cowl induction hoods. I do too, I just wonder if this one can be made to function... .

I like this one over the other cowl hoods because of the grooves from the stock hood are still there.

I've never seen a functioning cowl induction hood.

Is it just the back of the hood open. I would think this would just get cold air and not quite the benefit of the ram-air hoods.

Any body know more?

The Air Bulldog hood hood from Doug Hofeldt is by far the most original and awesome hood available for the Ram. Above that, it actually has a funtion for more intake air that the others do not have.

I'm too cheap to just replace a perfectly good body panel, but if I was to replace a damaged hood, I would definitely go with the Air Bulldog.

I called east coast customs about their cowl induction hood, they told me they have a new ram-air hood that does not ship fuctional but is buit to be made that way. It's not on their web site yet. I should get pictures later today.
