Hey all I just installed the HTB2/64-14 on my truck and I am wondering what boost levels I should be running at with the hot juice on 5 with a 5 inch exhaust and a afe intake? I am only getting to about 35-37 under WOT and climbing a hill.

Egt's are staying around 1250 and runs at 60 mph at about 850. Do I not have enogh fuel to spool this thing or am I in the safe operating range? Steve

temps look good, but boost should be higher, like around 45 psi with that turbo. The juice should have enough fuel to push it that far I would think.

Turn your wastegate rod in about 3-4 turns that turbo will operate safely to 50psi but like lmills said 45is a good safe number I have mine set at 45psi and am going to adjust it to about 48-49 to see if it well shut my EGT's down. But mine's on a 24v with big injectors.

The juice only controls your fuel in that it tells the computer to give more but, the limiting factor is that your stock lift pump can only give so much.

I tried the boost elbo on previous 62mm and it would over run to 50+ and settle to 47psi I didn't care for that after the first headgasket blew! OOOPPPS

I have drawn my lift pump down to 0 psi and still pushed 50 psi. It is the hot exhaust that drives the turbo. The CP3 will deliver enough fuel at a vacuum to still drive the turbo if the wastegate is set properly and there is no boost leaks.

My Beta Juice only gave enough on 5x5 to push my HTTSP66 to 36-37 lbs (not even to the wg) - FWIW

My 64-14 is wastegated at 40 psi. If I hit it hard with a lot of fuel I can bounce off 42 then it settles back to 40. Based on the drive pressure numbers I've seen you won't gain much pushing it to the high fourties.

I do have the 05 fass lift pump only, no filters. Will the bigger injectors bring the boost up? I'd like to be around 42-45psi. I only have about 150 miles on this turbo so far, my backdowns are pretty much off and the juice is set at the 180 hp level. Am I not opening the wasttegate? I also have a low fuel pressure light that comes on if the fuel psi drop below 5, but it never comes on. Thanks. Steve

So you have good EGTs(1250) and low boost pressure... and the problem is? My non-wastegated B1-2 only made about 37psi on a 514hp truck with Mach4s. EGTs would touch 1400 barely with great spool and drivability. Why do people think they need lot's of boost pressure. I want CFM, low drive pressure, along with EGT control. Maybe I'm missing something...

850 is a high 60 mph temp unless he's got high enough ratio's to be in the 1600 rpm range where the turbo hasn't begun to spool. My 60 mph cruise is about 1800 rpm, 6lbs boost and 650-700°.

Luke's comments are right on, otherwise I'd suggest looking for a boost leak.

The turbo doesnt show any boost at 60 mph till I hit a incline. My boost guage doesnt read nything till 5 pi or more. On flat ground it dont read anything. I'll take it to Dynomite and getter dynoed and see if they think it normal operating conditions or if I have issues. Steve

I think the same thing when people start talking boost PSI. Especially when they want 40+ PSI out of a stock turbo.

I have about the same - On flat ground I run about 3-4 psi at about 700-750 egt

But No worries, that truck run great, and max Egts are like 1302 on 7/6 :D
