Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) new injector questions

I am new to TDR. So far loving it!!! Question I have is... ... . I hav e a 95 2500, I just put bosch 330 injectors in and started having a major shudder around 1100-1300 RPM. I also lost about 3 mpg. I removed the injectors an d cleaned and reinstalled with new copper seals. This did make some improvment with the shudder but it is still there. I also have a lot of whit smoke if I do not let it warm up for about 15 minutes.



Could this be the engine or the Trans causing the shudder? I am having the timing advanced this next friday by a place in salt lake city. Thank you for your response

Is your truck an auto or a manual trans? Others will know, but I wonder if (auto) delivery valves are causing the stumble. Piers said I shouldn't have that problem with my 1995 manual trans. 370 are going in upon arrival.

I have an auto and seems to do it when it goes to lock up more than other times

You should never lug one down that far, especially with an automatic. Ship back to 3rd... never less than 1700rpm, and no less than 1900 in OD.



White smoke is usually low fuel pressure or retarded injection timing as well.

Have you checked or changed the fuel filter? A friends trk was running rough and had excessive white smoke. Changed the fuel filter and everything O. K.

Could it be that you have over powered your trans and that is causing it to shudder when it tries to lock up?????
