Hi fellers... ...
This is a copy of what I posted at another site, but I'm not getting much in the way of feedback.....
<!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->" A few days ago I installed a new stage 2 AFE PG7 along with an MBRP muffler and a cat delete pipe. I love the sound, but now that I've settled down a bit from being all giddy about it, I think I'm noticing what feels like less oomph when I stomp on the peddle. The turbo seems to spool super-fast now making me think it not allowing enough time for the fueling to kick in... ... ... or something like that.
I'm think I'm-a-gonna put the factory intake back in to compare. I guess I'll just swap parts back in and out in various configurations to figure this out.
BTW, this is when running stock. If I engage my Xillaraider box, it'll fuel a bit more, but also it'll boost fool and allow the stock turbo to spool waaaay up there (a result of the AFE's better air flow?) and it's kinda concerning me. "
To add to this, this morning instead of yanking things off the truck, I instead ran the Xillaraider on '2' (60hp) all the way into work which is about 45 miles. It feels like the truck drives normal again when running on '2', but still defuels when I hit my programmed point of 36psi. I figured 36lbs of boost is what any sane person would consider a resonable compromise between performance increase and detructive pressures on the stock turbo.
Any thoughts, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
