The interior of my 96 is about to be replaced. I'm going with a custom leather interior. Has anyone done this?

I found a local guy who does his own stiching. I'll install new carpets. Has anyone put down additional sound deadening material down?

The headliner will be stiched up with a giant RAMS HEAD. Has anyone worked on this before/

Thanks for any tips.

Do you know where you are going to get your carpet from? I was thinking of replacing the rubber floor in my truck with carpet.

Look here I have never used there carpet can not tell you about the fit but I have bought parts from them and the quality was real good they have sent carpet samples to me and the carpet seemed good ?

Interior Soundproofing

I'm just beginning to pull my interior apart to put in Quiet Coat that was talked about in this thread. Check it out...

Yes, Waynesworld, it is worth laying extra sound insulation under the carpeting if the interios id out of the truck. I took out the entire interior of my beloved Beast and layed down two layers of "Brown Bread" heavy tar / foil sheeting fromo "Be Quiet". This stuff was very good to work with (like super adhesive and flexible heavy roof shingle material with a heavy aluminum foil face) and it did make the truck seem alot more muffled and quiet. It gave the interior a more "refined" feel when driving. It is a good bit of work but worth the effort.

Carpet is actually really easy just take your time and be patient when you lay it, let me know how the custom leather goes, I want to convert to leather in mine.

I plan on doing the interior after the body shop visit. It will take a couple months. I'll let you know how it turns out.
