Droving the Ford makes me love my Ram more

Different makes diesel badges...

I did hear it run from a distance. I could tell it was a diesel, and it was not real loud..... BUT... . now I do not know if was a Cummins at all. I told a friend about the truck and the oil leak it had, and he asked if it was a Cummins or a Diamler engine... . HMMMMM. I said I did not even know they were even playing with the Diamler

engines, and said it was an inline engine, which he said they both are... Hmmmm... And he works in an area where he would know these things... .

I hope that is not the right oil pan for a Dodge application!

If it is, Then there goes the Straight axle on the 2500/3500 4x4's.

I sure wish I could get a peek at the 2003 duallys (who wouldn't???). I really love my truck - it's a runnin son of a gun; but I really want a Crew Cab - a real one. What they've come up with on the half tons is just a compromise. They made the cab a little longer and the bed a little shorter. That way they could still build this truck of off the same platform without a huge changeover production wise. I looked at the new half ton. They are okay and I really like the grille. But unless Dodge steps up and builds what alot of us want I may be going to the horse shows in a D-Max or a Ferd next year...

My . 02 worth.

New 1500 has roomy cab

The guy I work with went along with me to spec out the 1500 today, we both thought the interior was very decent (he's pretty hardcore Chevy person). I am 5'10" 165lb, I adjusted the front seat so I could barely touch the pedals then jumped in the back and found I had a good couple of inches between my knees and the seatback. I can tell you there is considerably more room in the back compared to our current trucks, and the seat cushion is wider. Headroom is better too. The windows roll all the way down. The seats are comfortable. As far as interior styling the new Dodge is a winner compared to Chevy and Ford pickups, although the center section of the dash could be a little better.

A couple more inches in cab space would be perfect, the new cab isn't as bad as some would think but not as roomy as a SuperDuty.

Only in relation to the Crew cab though.

I drove one of these last week. Very nice ride, love that rack and pinion steering. I much prefer the suicide style doors though where you can access front and back while standing in one place.
