I just installed a set of ISSPRO gauges and realy like them! They look great and work great!!:) I have one issue that I am hoping I can get help with. In the past you could tap a wire from the back of the head light module to get the power for the gauge lights that would allow them to dimm with the dash lights. This does not work on the 4th Gen truck. There is not enough amps available on the dimmer circuit from the switch assy to light even the low draw of the LED's on the new EV2 gauges. I have the light circuit for the gauges going through a ISSPRO dimmer but was hoping to only use it to ballance the light to match the dash lights and then tuck it behind a panel never to be seen again. Has anyone found a wire on the instrument illumination dimmer circuit that will support the lights on the gauges? I can mount the dimmer switch on the dash if I have to but this is not want I want to do!!

Thanks, I had seen this earlier and that is what I have done for my air pressure gauge and the gauge for my air shocks. I have made a temp connection into the same place for my new gauges. Was hoping someone had a better solution.

According to a customer, he was able to wire into the dimmer circuit using the orange wire with gray stripe coming out of the light module, and his gauges dimmed fine with the factory dimmer. One thing to keep in mind is that the EV2 gauges use the dimmer circuit purely as a high-impedance voltage measurement, while the power for the LEDs comes from the main gauge power input, so it doesn't "droop" the factory circuit any more than connecting a digital voltmeter.

Thanks guys. I will check out the orange/gray wire again this weekend and let you know what I find out. To bad I already drilled a hole for the dimmer already. Have a trip to go on and needed to have control of the brightness of the gauges.

Thought I would give you all a update. I removed the "T" tap from the orange with gray trace wire ( I really hate those things, don't know why I even use them!) and striped back the insulation then soldered the connection. The gauges now dim with the dash lights. I love it when a plan comes together!!!

I used this kit to tap the fuel supply and used a 30 psi gauge. . Got a compleat gauge kit from diesel manor.

orhusky, where are you located? I am in rainier (OR). I hope to pick up my Isspro gages Friday. Any tips or things to look for when installing? I sure was glad to see that they are made in the USA!

I got them from Source Automotive- GOOD PEOPLE! I was just down you way (kind of). Rainier girls softball was playing for, and won, the 3A state championship at OSU Softball field. Loading the software to program the gages as I type. Any recommendations on alarm setting for the pyro?
