Was wondering from those who installed a Jacobs. What wire would control the Led on the shifter mounted switch? I had the dealership install and ended up sitting there until nearly close on their second day of working on it and dont want to return to have them trouble shoot.

Is the control for the Led in the switch or is there a lead on the other end I could check for a short? The brake activates/deactivates fine but no light to show.

Thanks in advance

David,

I had the same thing happen when I installed mine. The directions don't say which wire controls the LED. However, when you look at the wiring schematic, you'll see that it's the black wire on the shifter switch harness that provides power to the LED. There are two wires on the shifter harness (black and one other, I don't remember) that connect to one wire on the brake wiring harness. Have a look at the schematic at the back of the install manual and you'll see it. Also, it's a bit strange that it took your dealer almost two days to install the thing. The factory states 2. 5 hours for installation. I did mine all by myself and it took me about 5 hours, taking my time.

Not really sure what took them so long to complete the install. Had I known I would have save the $$$ and done it myself. The brake is amazing, can believe it took me until this truck to do the upgrade.

Thanks for the tip on the wires, and the link. Ill check it out and see if they are connected correctly.
