Hey, just a thought... I really like the look of some of these after market ram-air/cowl hoods. Does anyone know of a functional setup for CTDs? And if so can you filter the ram air and pipe it to the spool?
I was just reading this topic and saw that amcintyre sells Stainless steel. Wonder if he would sell a quanity to a member who could fab an enclosure??? WE could chip in and then pay someone labor charge to fab it???? :-laf just an idea
I used a piece of rubber about 4x5" between the filter and the mounting studs. I would have used the stock plastic nuts upside down, but I lost them. Hard to do, but I'm talented that way.
On the cowling hole, if you look at the picture in the first post of this thread, the hole is in line with the illustrated filter. Same place it'd be for a Psycotty (Scott1) setup.
I am also wondering if the K&N setup will fit with the battery mount Amsoil Bypass setup. I had the BHAF hooked up, but had to remove it and go back to the stock airbox when I installed the Bypass.
