new kid on the block

hey guys. i just joined tdr and im gettin all geared up to start hoppin up my pickemup. ive been reading some threads and have come to the conclusion its time to buy some gauges. i have also been snoopin around trying to see what the best mods i could do just to make my truck a wee bit peppier. i allready have a 16cm turbine housing lined up, but it has a wastegate, is that a problem? also, one way or another i will be putting on a 16cm housing, whether its wastegated or not, and i would like to put some injectors in it, i was just wonder if the lucas injectors are ok, or what u guys suggest. all in all i was thinking, housing, injectors, air cleaner, and maybe tweaking the pump. any and all suggestions will be most appreciated. im not looking to win any drag races, id just like to make those 40 thousand dollar pickups feel foolish when my 7 thousand dollar 10 year old truck will give them a run for their money.

The exhaut housing using a wastegate is always a goo idea. As time goes by and you uprate the performance more and more... . ya I know you "won't likely" get too carried away... . wanna bet. .

the wastegate is a good thing to have. With it, you can maintain more control over your boost pressures as well limit excess boost and heat. .
