Do they test these things with diesel. Ordered a spare lift pump from one of our advertisers. The paper is stained and it smells of diesel. Does Cummins test these.

Also noted that the pigtail adapter for the older truck will plug into itself. Appears that it could be used to make the power extension to relocate the lift power to the frame?

SNOKING

I bought a spare , and it smelled the same as yours. I was wondering the same thing. I'm assuming they must leak test them, or something. I bought mine from Hoesli.

OK, thanks, that is where I got mine. SNOKING

I have a new Cummins (spare) lift pump in the original Cummins box I bought from a Cummins dealer. I went out to my truck and opened the box for the first time. There are stains and a slight odor but I can't say for sure its diesel. It would be nice if a tag was in place to state that the pump was leak checked so a person wouldn't think they bought a second hand pump.
