Hey guys, while I was browsing around in here I ran across a discussion on DC's new lift pump specs, about how to test them, flow rather than pressure. It even gave the resistance that the electrical end should be for a good motor and bad, etc. I thought that it was a TSB, but for the life of me I can't find it again. Could one of you point me to that bit of info, thanks...

Tsb Number Is 14-002-03. Tests Measures Fuel Volume In 25 Seconds Of Pump Running After Bumping Starter Over To Engage Pump. Also Wants Battery Voltage To Be At Least 11. 50 Volts. Also Wants Voltage Checked At Pump To Be At Least 12 Volts. Measure Resistance Across Pump Terminals No More Than 200 Ohms Or Less Than . 2 Ohms. Replace If Out Of Spec. Measure Volume Of Fuel After Filter At Rubber Hose Between Injection Pump And Filter. Need At Least 46 Ounces.

Not sure how a TSB works. Will a dodge dealer check this out at no cost I installed a fuel pressure guage and it seems low. I only have 71,000 miles on the truck

DCTECH and nps, Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I looked all over for that tsb. I just had to replace my 4th lift pump. The service manager at the local Frieghtliner dealer gave me a bunch of grief over this latest pump issue, it only lated 950 miles before it gave up. He relaced it, reluctantly, and I installed it. I'm in the process of moving back to my home state of Florida after a career in the Navy, the truck is pulling a lot of weight in a 20 foot trailer, I don't want to crap out in East no-where Alabama or somewhere so I wanted this to be done. I'm still a little worried about this lift pump business, so I'm getting a spare just in case. I can change these out in less than a half hour now. I think I'll get a different setup when I'm settled. Anyway, thanks again, you TDR guys are 4. 0... (Awesome) :)
