Stock pump Paul is the best way to go. The 12 valves have good pumps from the factory unlike their 24 valve brothers or distant cousins:(

Be sure and load the pump shaft up that rides on the camshaft with a good moly based grease before you install it back in. The cam lobe can be worn down if not. Some guys actually remove the old shaft and install it onto the new pump to insure good break-in or no break-in in this case.

bout 175 bucks from Cummins=YUK

Shop around, should be able to find one for about 135--still twice as much as it is worth.

A lot of guys are putting pusher pumps at the tank to take the stress off of it.

First make sure you really need a new pump, they last a long time and are one of the most common throwing parts at a problem items. I have yet to see one that loses pressure, they usually just start leaking or get noisy. Sometimes they will leak fuel into your crankcase and cause increasing oil levels.

Thanks to all, seems mine is just getting noisy and leaks at the primer when used to change fuel filters. Got almost 400k on it and figured it might leave me walkin' someday soon.
