Anybody try the new bfg A/T 305/65r17 load range E. My 315's are giving me dw again and need to change them out, but I'm a little hesitant of going back to bfg's even if there load E. Any ideas on winter tires for an 05 cause we already have some snow on the ground need to order asap

not even in bfg book at work or at local tire shop but supplier has them. ordered 4 snowing again I hope these dont wobble like the 315's

Question... .

How tall do these tires measure out at as I'm looking for something with more "meat" for my stocker '03 4x4. My BFG 265s have around 70k on them and are great wear wise but the side walls are split real bad.

You may check out Pro Comp Xtreme ATs. They are E rated. I have had mine over 10,000 miles and love them. I don't tow much, but they are a great AT tire. I've had BFGs too, I now prefer Pro Comp.

So, if I read that right the 305 load E is the same size (give or take) as the 285 Load D. That might be just what I need Oo.

I have an '03 with 128,000. Just put new rubber on for the first time. Original tires were Michelin LTX A/S and still had 4/32" left. I hear people don't like them, but if my second set last 128k like the first, I don't have much cause for complaint.

i've looked at the 305 bfg's as well, i can't fit in the parking at work with 315's but i might with 305's. the difference is 1" circumference (1/2" higher truck) and a little over 3% diff in revolutions

been running the x at's all summer but there is already ice and snow on the ground here and they are a little to slipery. oredered bfg 305's yesterday. I'll keep posted if any problems.

I am HELL on tires and I have Michelin LTX MS on my '03. Great ride, but not near as good of tread life as you. I am a speed deamon and LOVE hard acceleration and cornering. No tire holds up well to that. Michelins ride the best though. Have BFG 305's (AT) D's on my '96 with a 2" spacer between the duals. Happy with them too. Nice size and good ride. No wobble like people have mentioned.

Don't know how long they have had it but I also noticed BFG has an LT285/65R18 E 80 psi tire rated over 3600 lbs. At 32. 7" tall it would fit an unlifted truck pretty well while keeping sidewall height down for a good solid ride.

well I have over a 1000km on my new 305's in the week that I have had them

and so far no problems or shake at any speed I hope they stay like that.

I have a set of those on my truck right now. Doing great on the snow here in Alaska. They do rub a bit on my mud flaps but that is only because I have nerf bars that are mounted a bit too close to the wheel well and the mud flaps are pushed foreward a bit.
