I checked and mine is the NV5600. I am happy with it. At 2300 miles, it is beginning to loosen up and I am getting use to it. We are making a great combination.

What about aftermarket clutchs? Will all the current NV5600 single and dual disk clutchs work will the new 6 speed?

It will be an aluminum case rather than cast iron,

I just took delivery of my 05 which was ordered in August It has the NV 5600,

In the past most changes are made in the half yr. trucks 03. 5 , 04. 5 , 05. 5 .

I'm sure the first TDR member that gets one will let us know right here.

The 05 Jeeps have a new 6 sp. but don't know if it the getdrag or not.

The new 6-speed transmissions should be all Getrag by the end of the 05 model year! Including Jeep's.
