I was having some surging issues and decided to replace my MAP sensor (got one very cheap). After replacing it, I saw something I didn't expect... better boost. I'm hitting the wastegate on my HX-40 now very quickly and at a lower setting on my PowerMax. I haven't played with it much yet but it's definitely more boost and faster response. As far as the surging, it's still too early to tell if this took care of that issue. Just thought I'd pass it along...

Where do you get a new map sensor "real cheap". Every time I have heard of someone buying one it was from DC and $150.

If its from Cummins would you mind posting the part #.

I have priced MANY parts from Dodge and then priced them from Cummins. In every case, Dodge has been anywhere from 3 to 5 times the Cummins price. I've posted on this several times and it bothers me every time I bring it up... I would love to see everyone stop buying parts from Dodge. How do they justify that kind of markup?

Anyhow, that's a different story. The Cummins part number for the MAP sensor is 3348747 and it's normally around 50 bucks. I got it cheaper than that when we held an event at a local dealer and they were offering special pricing. Good luck.
