Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) new MAPS different than old

i got a new MAPS from the cummins dealer and it is much smaller than the one in the truck now. i have a socket to fit the new one but not the old one. i got a diagram from cummins so i think im looking at the right sensor. just wondering if anybody else has run into this problem or did they give me the wrong sensor.

Everyone I have replaced is much smaller hex size than original. Sorry, I can't remember the exact size.

I think the old one is a 1-1/4". You will need the wiring harness adapter to hook it up though.

the harness is only for 01-02 when the new map superceded the older one, requiring the harness.

Mine was superceded too. I was told it was an older type sensor thus requiring a different harness. Like Diesel Wrks said I dont know if it would require an adapter for the wiring harness like mine did.
