Have been reading the forums for quite some time and finally decided to take the plunge, buy a diesel truck and join TDR.

Now I'm playing the waiting game. So far it's status D1 with an expected ship from plant date of 4/20. Then it's another two weeks after that according to the dealer to get it up here. Oh well, I'm sure it's worth the wait.

Its interesting how people (like myself) peruse this website first and then get encouraged to buy a CTD.

Knowledge is Power!!

yup, welcome . .

but right away I have to ask if you have ben reading

TDR why did you get a 600??? lots of us are bumed

I get 7-9 pulling and 13 empty driving normal sorry I just had to ask I hope you do better than sume uf us...

Choice in CA is 235 or 325. Most people have been happy with the 600 on the threads I have read.

Exstroker--there will be a fix for your truck. My feeling is that in the next couple of months Cummins or private shops will unlock your mystery. DC is aware of mileage problems on some trucks, and I have to believe they are anxious to make this problem go away. --Hang on bud

First, look at the choices in CA.

Dodge Hemi – 345hp/375ft-lbs that certainly gets 13-14MPG in the city, probably 6-8 loaded. Uses CA low octane currently costing 2. 12/gal with no end in site.

Dodge diesel 325hp/600ft-lbs that is likely to get 13-20MPG with no load and fuel costs at or below unleaded 87. Also before the 325/600 our choice here was a restricted 235hp. Some have worked around this by buying out of state and then putting >8500 miles on the truck before registering but what a pain. Not to mention the cost if one gets busted.

In the end it’s a personal choice that I'm happy with.

Guess you weren't the 20000th member huh?

Welcome to the TDR.

Noone's found a cure yet for the addiction to this website. My wife wishes someone would!

Welcome!

I have been onboard for 6 months and these guys are the best. Don't worry about the 600, I am sure Cummins will get it figured out. Hopefully it's just software.
