New Member - Let the learning begin...

Well, after a year of prodding from my father, I finally joined TDR. He has been touting the benefits and I have just never got around to it. After a posting last week that he did on my behalf I knew I had to participate in this forum and learn as much as I can from all of you.



My goal for the next little while is to watch the posts and learn more about my first diesel and also to get the hang of the protocol on this site. Quite honestly, I am not much of a 'discussion board' kind of guy but after I have made such a large investment, I felt it irresponsible to not know more about the power plant that now resides under my foot.



After I learn more and if at any time I feel as though I can contribute, I will do so. But until then, I hope you all don't wonder why I only ask questions but don't post solutions.



One final note, I am not sure if I want to reveal who my father is quite yet until I get an idea on his 'role' in this community

it's good to see a new member that writes well, spells correctly and has a "willing to learn" attitude.



don't be afraid to use the search function for background research. many subjects have been covered already. i find myself doing searches for about an hour before deciding if a new thread is in order.



you are a great addition to this site.



BTW, can we at least get a first name or will this give it away to dad?
