does anyone know the gear ratios of the 6 speed trans, especially 5th & 6th ?



I do not yet have my truck, but have been to this site for last 3 months.

I'm checking on changing the ring & pinion to a 3. 90 ratio from the driveline shop we use to see what it would cost.

This will enable me to do a little math.



I drove both the 3. 55 and 4. 10 this last weekend with a 6 speed, my wife wants me to wait until the 2003's are out, since we talked to the Cummings warantee person at the Dodge booth at the SEMA show a few weeks back and he said the new gen 3 engine should have 300HP and 545 ft lbs.

With the good financing now going on I don't know if I will be able to wait that long, I have the new truck bug BAD!

Check on Dave Fritz's Page . It has all the specs you would ever need. Also I run around a 3. 90 effective ratio with my 4. 10s and 295 tires. Just something to think about, a set 255, 285 or 295 tires would be cheaper than regearing.
