Hi,

This is a great forum. I have been reading for a few months, and just had to join. I've added a few "must haves" to my CTD, and now I am ready to start Bombing.

The 4" exhaust & AFE filter sure make my CTD sound good, now I need to add some extra Power. I am ready for an Edge EZ.

Ouestion:

1) Who has the best price & service on an Edge EZ?

2) Do I need to order a boost elbow w/ the Edge EZ?

(Top boost is 20lbs) :D

Thanks in Advance

mattskully,

Welcome to the one of the best boards on the web.

I would suggest that you think long and hard about how far you want to BOMB your truck. The BOMBing bug can bite you extremely hard!

I didn't see a signature about your truck. What kind of truck do you have? I assume it's a 24 valve.

An EZ is great and will give you somewhere between 45 and 60 HP. It comes with a boost elbow.

The item I list below require gauges, South Bend clutch and DTT auto trans upgrades along with the performance enhancement.

A big step above the EZ is the PE Comp. The Comp has 5 power levels with 5 sub-levels to adjust smoke on each power level. The Comp will give you up around 110 to 120 HP.

Injectors, anywhere from 275's about 50 HP to BD5's up to 200 HP.

HX-40 turbo, 30 HP. I don't recommond for towing. I tried it and had too much turbo lag.

Blue Chip Box, 100 HP

Just to mention a few.

Good luck and Happy BOMBing!

mattskully,

Welcome to the TDR, I hope you get as much from it as I have. A really great group of guys.

I got my EZ from Fred Swanson at Desert Diesel Parts, great guy and the same price I've seen everyone else offer them for.

Welcome to the TDR! Lurking can be expensive. It happened to me. After a while, I felt I had enough experience to participate a little. I would say my truck would be stock if it wasn’t for the TDR. It’s a really bad place to hang out and will cost you dearly! :D As for advice other than here on the TDR, I would use the TDR advertisers. Personally I got a lot of really good help and advice from some folks north of the border. They are a phone call or e-mail away.

Big Bob,

Thanks for the info. Went to your truck photos. Nice truck. That is one tuff front bumper! I added my truck profile when I signed up. I guess I did something wrong, because it doesn't show up on my post?

Ray Trautman, ShovelHead, RADdodge and Goddard,

Thanks for the web links regarding finding me a Edge EZ. I report back when I get the EZ purchased & installed.

Thanks again,

Mattskully :)

You will not have any problems with anyone who sells you and Edge EZ because the guys at Edge will take care of you too.

I think I would add some gauges too... I know you really don't need them with the EZ, but they sure are nice to have and can aid in trouble shooting problems that can arise.

Besides, once you add an EZ you will be on your way down that long dark path of BOMBING. Trust me I was in your position once and now I can't get enought power...
