I finally signed up, I have been reading the post for quite some time. Thanks to Valkyrie99 I have the parts on order to rebuld my steering box. And I also have the kit coming to rebuld my track bar, I figure I am saving close to $1000 dollars between the two. I have a PM2 and am wondering about putting 275 injectors in. I am thinking injectors would be cheap and add a bit more fun, or are they not worth it? I am on my second stock clutch and don't feel like putting in a new one soon since I just had my transmission out to fix fifth gear. If any of you need a new transmission I have the place for you. A new five speed with a full splined fifth gear and special lock washer behind the spanner nut, all for $1500 with exchange. I had mine rebuilt and it works great. I figure I must be getting good at transmission removal, first one was in the dark outside, second one in a garage with a floor jack. 1 3/4 hours by myself. ;)

new also

I'm new also. Have been reading for several days. Don't plan any serious"bombing"(?). First will be the exhaust system. Have been reading with interest the comments about muffler vs no muffler. I can't tell what I'm going to do yet. The appeal of no muffler is the cost!!!!! BB Exhaust at 1300$$$$ seems out!! Guages are next--EGT, Boost, transmission and oil temp, and fuel pressure seem to be the things I want to monitor. I think after reading various threads, adding a pusher pump back by the tank would ba good idea also. If put on a separate switch it could be used to bleed the system in the future also.

$1300. 00 would be out for sure. Get a jardine 4" exhaust for $425. 00. 1/3 the cost and a great system from what I hear.

No, I am not too big I am the smallest of my brothers, at 6' 2" 225 pounds. The first time I lowered the transmission down by hand while I laid on a creeper. I was able to roll out from under the truck, but couldn't get it off of me. I got a bit smarter the second time, I used a 2 ton floor jack and balanced the transmission with one hand. If you are carefull and take your time it goes good. The five speed trucks are really easy to work on underneath, night and day difference between the autos, I have had a few of them out too. Too many bolts and hoses that are too hard to reach.
