Thank you JR2 for introducing me to the TDR forum... I'm the guy you met at Tampa Power. And thanks to all that post quality answers and solutions, I have learned soooooo much the past few days reading.
I just awoke a sleeping giant with the tst #6 plate and 3k springs...
Un beleivable!!!
As a preventative maitenance I took my truck down to the local transmission shop to have it serviced.
They found small aluminum and brass chips all in my trans oil pan - - Suggested that I do a complete rebuild at the tune of $1500 + tax.
I expressed concern about the stock transmission handling the new found power of my cummins. His solution was to add a shift kit along with Borg/warner disks and other high quality replacement parts.
I'm only pulling a small boat (about 2000 lbs) but about 30-40k miles per year.
Any suggestions about this...
btw I have a transmission temp guage already installed.
