Welcome! Be sure to go to the user control panel (in the Discussion Forums pull down menu) and set yourself up a signature with the particulars of your truck (eg 93 D250 Club Cab, 5 spd manual, 50k ).

Michael, you just bought one of the finest trucks ever made, IMHO. Sure, it has a few warts, but if you leave it totally stock and service it regularly the body will probably rust away before anything else major goes wrong.



There is one thing in particular you want to check into. Do a search on KDP or killer dowel pin. It's a little dowel pin that on rare occasions works loose and can cause some serious damage to the engine.

You will find some pretty good help here. At 50k miles the only things you may need to look for will be age related and not wear. Read a while and just by that you will get a first class indoctrination to the world of diesel. As your truck prompts you, ask the questions. NOTHING you will ever have wrong will be new to the group.
