Hey all -

Just got registered to TDR - I have been searching through the Discussion Forums ever since I got my "new to me" Ram 3 wks. ago. To say I've learned a lot but have a lot of catching up to do is an understatement!

:D :D

I am really interested in the discussions about the 2-low system that has been referred to in other posts. When we're hooked up to haul cattle, backing up to chutes, etc. this sounds like something that would help a lot. Mine is the third Ram in the family ( brother- '91; dad- '98) and there is nothing better than being strapped into that DIESEL POWER! We laugh at all the others who just had to have that new ( what do you guys say, Dura what?)...

Anyway, glad to be on board, can't wait to get involved! :D :D :D

Thx for the welcome!

My wife wants us to get a camper next - now that we have the power, we can head up and down the road with ease! ;)

Would like to go back to Custer to camp when we get that purchase made:)

One silly question - where is the "silencer ring" located?

do you want your truck to whistle???

the silencer ring is located in the front of the turbo.

Remove the air intake to the turbo to view the mighty ring :)

Welcome G! Hey, where ya at in SD? My wife is from Gregory, so we get out there frequently to visit the inlaws on the farm. We met in college in Sioux Falls.

Sure is a small world

My hometown is Bancroft, about 2 hrs. NW of Sx Falls. I know some folks down Gregory way - Kenny and Doris Miner, Bob Sperl, others. Are you an Augie grad, or USF? Nice to hear from you! Hopefully you old pros can teach this neophyte a thing or two!;)

SFC!

G:

Yeah, I know the Bobby Sperl name - farms down the road from my father-in-law. We're SFC grads (now known as USF). Maybe we'll cross paths out there sometime. :)

The door is always open

I know Bob through my work with the South Dakota Farmers Union - would love to swap stories with you sometime - I don't think I would want to challenge anyone here to a race, though. . ;)

I sure appreciate the welcome, all you guys will undoubtedly give me plenty of great advice! Better go, the President is on CNN. .
