Hello to all !! Bought the truck in mid April, and have 14900 miles on it now. I almost bought a F__D until I found TDR. So very glad that you folks are here !! I can't believe the awesome power that this truck has !! And it is still stock !! (Guages coming this week) Also have a 2001 2500 gasser (wife's Truck now ! ) I Love Her, But I hate that truck. This 03 is the best truck that I have ever had. 20. 5 mpg calculated avg. last 10 tanks. Rotella-fleetguard stratapore. Looking forward to BOMBing. Thanks again for all your help. Without these forums, I might have had a F__d.

welcome! i am glad to see you got the "hand shaker" because when you get a chip and then once the warranty goes and you end up with injectors and turbo you will be glad you got the 6er. the auto are a faster but with the 6 speed you have a very reliable truck that is bomb ready with very little work to the transmission. Plus with the 6 speed your friends will feel like they are riding in a real truck. I went the auto route with my last dodge and that is what kept me from bombing. with this truck it bombs away.



i am like you i am waiting on gauges(should be in this week), then exhaust, by christmas it will be time to chip and within 4 years it will be turbo and injector time.



by october all the mfgs should have their big chips out for these trucks which by themselves should be enough to beat most other trucks that like ours have a weight problem. our 6 speeds are barely holding the 140hp boxes but they are holding which get us to around 415 at the wheels that is enough to hang with any chipped 6L and blow away the duramaxes because most of them have only the little 70 and 90hp boxes.

315's w/ the 6spd is must have helps mpg to. www.tirerack.com has them for like $119 then get the metal 2inch $129 spacer in the front. they do rob a little from the power but when you get a box you will not be able to tell that you are running 35's b/c you will be able to lay rubber whenever you want.
