History of Snow Plowing in Northern Maine

Spring is here so I can use my toys.....

Found a rust hole in the MH exhaust while out, going to install (link) a happy camper on our last trip had one on his rig sounded great and although he didn't install it, it didn't and doesn't appear to be a big chore.

Going with Stainless 5" pipe with a Chrome exhaust tip at the end that is Guaranteed to give unlimited HP, Lower EGT's, and manufacture Fuel AS YOU DRIVE!!!

Actually it's supposed to do lots for the motor, better than the restrictive 30 gal oil drum type muffler that's on it now, but if a person believes all the claims as factual then good luck. :D

That is a bit hard to swallow!

Come on Grizz!!! I bet that the Politicians are in it for the Pride of the Country too. Just ask Hillary she doesn't lie either :-laf

Got it all bolted up and if nothing else the OEM isn't going to give me problems on the road, it cost less even with the addition of 5" Stainless Pipe from Turbo to tailpipe tip.

AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!! Especially when the Jake is on ;)

You are gonna' need more than a fancy muffler the first time one of those 550 hp Prevost or Wanderlodge rigs goes by and tries to pull your windshield out from the suction......:D:-laf

I looked at the website. How can anyone pass up a bargain like that? A whopping $3.06 off the full price. What a deal.

I guess two coaches running DEF really can get into a "whizzing" contest??????

No Only one, the Pee Contestant. A GMC 2016 Dual Cab Dually Diesel. I know, I know but really if I was to be looking at a new Diesel I would give serious thought to this. The body & running gear is HANDS DOWN BETTER than any Dodge I've seen, the motor has been around for more years than most know, and we don't really have to talk about the superior transmission DO WE?

Mine MH old enough that Pee isn't required OR wanted :D

Not sure on the running gear.

The front axle is a variant of our front axle, as is the rear. Last time I spoke with AAM they said the rear axle in the Dodge actually had better bearing per the Dodge contract. The G80 gov-lok isn't an option on the Dodge but you can count that as a plus. I am less than impressed with them.

The GM transfer case is a smaller one than the Dodge.

GM suspension is also much softer.

I cannot speak to their newer IFS longevity, but even with the BJ and wheel bearing maintenance on my 05 it's been better than the GM IFS's I have been around.

The Allison is a good trans, but it's not as good as the Internet wants everyone to believe.

He's got a 2x4 and not pulling the Queen Mary. I stand by what I posted, look around there are FAULTS WITH ALL OF THEM even the DODGE

They do all have issues... just pointing out the commonalities and differences is the HANDS DOWN comparison.

Should mean something that the axle manufacturer says the one in the Dodge will last longer...
