New noise

I'm going to replace the whole cast iron assembly and while I could re-use the old pulley, I'm going to install a new one for a 6. 7.

Why would you replace the assembly when all you need is the bearing? The complete casting was like $475 delaer price the last time I checked.



All you need is the fan pulley for the 6. 7 and you should be fine. I think the mount is the same.

There is an thread from a while back where I checked all that out between the 5. 9 and the 6. 7.

The mount and idler pulley were the same. only the fan pulley (and vibration damper of course) were different between the two engines.



I can find it later if needed when I have a few spare minutes, this place is a zoo today... .....
