Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) NEW (NOT rebuilt!) HO VP-44's?

I wonder if anyone here has located a source for reasonably priced new, late production HO VP-44's?



In view of consistent failure rates, and the fact I intend to be buried in my '02, I figure a new replacement pump would be a good investment...

And at present, not interested in rebuilts, even those by Bosch...

I believe that you can still get New pumps from cummins. They will not be sold as Recon parts, and their part number will not have an RX in it. It will probably cost $1000 more, but you can still find them (all be it almost impossible).
