Aluminum Wheel Question??

For the last two mornings, and only in the morning, when I go out to start my truck and I hear the noise of what should be the grid heaters firing up, my radio turns off. And it wont come back on for a couple minutes AFTER I've started the engine. It wont do this in the afternoon after work - maybe its warm enough that the heaters dont cycle. Temps here are in the low 50's overnight... . anyone else notice this????

I've figured out that my Radio issue has something to do with the steering column. About 50% of the time, the radio will shut off when i raise the steering wheel up (as high as it will go). This explains why it seemed like it would take a minute or so for it to come on in the morning - I'm always fiddling with something for a block or so, and the last thing I do is drop the steering wheel down into my normal driving position.

So does anyone have a guess wether this may be a loose connection, maybe??

Sounds like clock spring or a plug on the clock spring.

You might pull the plastic cover off, were the blinker switch goes into, and look for something loose.
