I have had my 2001 HO 6 speed for 10 months now. All I can say is WOW. I have about 15,000 miles of towing 20. 000# and I like the truck more and more as the miles add up. The Pac Brake workes much better on the new engine and the pulling power is great!! The 6 speed is one very nice unit it seems to shift better and better as the miles add up. Good luck with the new truck.

I have had mine for almost 1500 miles. Keeps getting better. Did the first oil filter change, the guy who used to put the filters on must have taken another job.



I averaged almost 19mpg on my last 420 miles, almost have the 6 speed figured out, only ground third once yesterday.

4200 miles, 22mpg, rubber in 4 of 6 gears (only a couple times), still stock, monster low end power. Hope yours makes you as happy. Welcome aboard!!

Welcome! Our Ram keeps getting better and better. Short-shifting and a reasonable throttle foot will get you 22 mpg once all those parts get to know each other.

Well for the first 400 miles I got 19. 8 miles/gal. This is what I expected,and from whats being said only to improve.
