Dexter Brakes Blue or Red Spring?

South Lake Tahoe Campgrounds ??

Finally took posession of our first camper so go easy. 1987 23 foot Prowler tagalong. First, what is the best roof coating to use?? Second, can I flip the axles to safely raise the trailer as many 5'ers do?? Thanks in advance.

If you have not already, go to www.irv2.com and ask your question. Membership there is free. Sometimes there is 600 persons on line at one time. The forms are the same as structure as this web site. They have a section there just for your type of trailer with lots of people to answer your questions.

For some more information on the axles, check out Dexter Axle and search for over/underslung. I needed more clearance on our trailer just to get it in the driveway so I bought the Dexter over/under slung kit and was very happy with the 4" clearance that I gained.

Not sure what to tell you on the roof. I have read on the Dicor site that just normal cleaning should keep your EPDM (rubber) roof in god shape.

The irv2 site does have lots-o-info for free.

Pwknapp, Don't forget that when people say flip the axles they often mean put them under the leaf springs instead of on top. They don't mean flip them upside down and put them under the axle. My Jayco has axles that have a built in arch in them and if you put them on upside down the camber goes way negative. On mine, I had to weld new spring seats on the axles 180 degrees away from the original ones so I could keep them upright.
