I noticed that my left brake pad's were almost gone a few week's ago and they weren't that old! So I figured the caliper was bad or hung up! I replaced both side's, calipers and pad's and made sure there was anti-sieze where it needed to move! Now after a week, the brake's are pulling left when braking! What else could cause this? bad line's, master cylinder? Can someone help! This truck is draining me pretty bad after having the tran's re-done and then the turbo going out a week later! I hope it's an easy fix! Thank's :confused:
 
Would'nt that show up when bleeding the brake's? They seemed fine when doing so! Can you feel the line to find this problem?

NOPE, I have seen several that have collapsed, you can't tell, change them out, they go bad more than you think. It happens all the time on the race car with the steel braided -6 fuel lines, almost cost me a motor once :D

Take a file to the pads to loosen them up around the caliper. This will allow the pad to release easier after the brake is applied. I did it and it worked for me.

Hard to say, I don't change em till a problem shows up, normally not a maintenance item. :D

could be pad linings, to little clearence, or hoses. all very good suggestions.

I personally would look at the brake hoses first. wont cost you anything to check them besides a little fluid and bleeding again. pull the hoses off, clean them off and blow through them one should be harder to blow through. if they are both the same start looking elsewear.

also have had a rotor cause a pull once. if the rotor face is not completly flat could have a pull. In my case someone swapped pads and diddnt machine the rotors so there was a high spot on one of them causing it to grab first and harder, making it pull.

also check the hard lines for any damage, one might be pinched not letting fluid return back to the master cylinder

Umm, question... was it fine for a while after the new stuff, then start pulling again? Or did the new stuff not affect the pulling??



If it was fine for a while, then I think you may have caliper issues (again)...



If it didn't change, then my guess is bad hoses, bad tire (try rotating?), OR a REAR BRAKE ISSUE. Rear brakes can cause pulling just like a front brake...

The rear brake's were done a few month's ago! The brake's did seem O. K. at first after I installed them, then a day or so later started to pull! Then, they started pulling to the right this weekend, and now they are normal! I think my brake's are posessed :confused: ! I'm going to rotate the tire's here in a few minute's because someone else also mentioned that and they need it! We'll see what happen's. Thank's for the suggestion's! :)
