I have an ez on my 03 dodge but am looking for more power. Need some opinions on the best ajustable in cab box for the money. I Would like any feedback i can get on the new x-power BD is selling and the advan or dis-advan. to running a straight duration box such as this one.

If I was to run the BD power box, I would stack a Quadzilla timing/pressure box with it

OR keep your EZ, and stack the soon-coming JUICE, or the TST powermaxCR

I'd stay away from an X-power.

The BD rep installed one on an '03 a couple of weeks ago at a dyno day and the box fell flat on its face. Threw codes and made very little power.

I'm not saying it's a bad product, just that they need to get some kinks worked out.

Get a Quadzilla Xzillaraider. You won't be disappointed.

Go with the TST or wait for the Edge. Banks is an ok option but you'll never see it on my truck. I don't have anything good or bad to say about quad, but be careful, it is new just like the BD box.

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

I have to lean towards the king of boxes TST :D but that could be cause I have one and love the in cab adjustability from stock-mild-wild

How do you like the SUPER B? would you do it again or get a different turbo?

Best Bang for the buck with in cab looks like the Quad - thats just simple math... . but theres a lot more variables that you need to evaluate for your self. I personally love mine in comparison with the EZ. Especially now that we are starting to see injector issues with pressure boxes.

I ran the Bully Dopg Torque Dog with in cab knob on mine, but it produced too much power and slipped my TC clutch. I replaced it with Banks Six Gun and Quick Loader.

If that was true then why would Quad mention stacking with the VA instead of his own "duration only" box? Another question would be, why are they the only one with this particular unit?

BD's X-Power is a Quad Box. I saw it at BD during their Dyno Days and asked Pat if it was a Quad, he said it was.

I wished I was getting paid for it then? I think there is something fishy happening here.

Its really nice to have a direct info source (ie. the maker) --- puts an end to discrepentcys (sp)... . nice to have ya here Quad

Ditto that. Glad you're around Quad.

Anyway, I saw the BD box a few weeks ago at Imler's. The BD guy hooked it up to a '03 CA SO.

It's totally different than the Quad box. It hooks up to three injector plugs, MAP sensor, and I think 12v power. There may be other connections, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, that box threw lots of codes and dynoed at less than the guy's EZ. I think they have some bugs to work out. They also mentioned it was designed across the pond.

Coming from a 12V guy, i'm also glad you're here Quad. :) Nice to have some good direct resources here, at least for troubleshooting if nothing else. Who knows, when/if I get my 3rd Gen 555 (hopefully within 2-3 yrs :-laf), and if none of the other upcoming boxes pans out (namely Edge's because their is controversy), I may have one of your products. That is nice to know that there is a decent representative on here for the product you plan to purchase. Glad to have 'ya onboard!

Obviously, I was told the wrong information from Pat at BD. Sorry for leading everyone astray.

I deleted my post to make things less confussing.

The Predator performance module is a really good choice , will make around 115 hp. On a stage III , and if you read the latest article ,in TDR its coming to light that fuel and boost boxes actually increase timing and duration, this is achieved by the computer seeing the offset fuel and boost sensors reading and adding duration and timing to make up for the perceived deficiencies .

Fuel economy is an added benefit of increasing the power output of diesel engines, more power , means that BSFC or Brake Specify Fuel Consumption , or pounds of fuel burned per horsepower hour is decreased . This means in layman’s terms that each hp cost less fuel to make. If a truck cruising at steady state uses a given amount of hp to stay at that speed ,and you pay less pounds of fuel for each hp produced , you achieve a increase in fuel economy.

I always try and stay out of the my box is better then their box argument . but with the latest articles in TDR on fuel boxes I thought I would expound on my ideals on diesel aftermarket performance .

Give Predator a call, the modules work great and the power gains are documented.
