I always try and stay out of the my box is better then their box argument . but with the latest articles in TDR on fuel boxes I thought I would expound on my ideals on diesel aftermarket performance .
Give Predator a call, the modules work great and the power gains are documented.
I don't question that the power gains are documented... But the website leaves a few questions to be answered

They will also tell you that a maximum EGT of 1350 degrees is acceptable, but IT IS NOT. At 1350 degrees metal glows red hot. Temperatures this hot can permanently damage your engine. Cummins recommends a maximum sustained EGT of no more than 1050 degrees. High exhaust gas temperatures also raise coolant temperatures, causing your engine to over heat even more. With the Dr. Performance! system, there is no need to add a pyrometer to monitor your exhaust gas temperature. Our system WILL NOT raise exhaust gas temperatures above acceptable limits - EVEN WHEN YOU USE THE EXTRA POWER - because we DO NOT add more fuel than your engine is already designed to burn!
That makes it sounds as if a stock truck and a Dr. Performance "chiped" truck will have the same EGT at any given time... Is that true?
I know many people with new stock trucks that can hit 1300* - But with this system, the EGT does not go over acceptable limits? Like I guess 1050* (per the website)
COMP - I'm not pok'in a stick at ya here, But do YOU think we should run without an EGT because it is not needed??? - You should have a talk with the Dr P web dude and see if it is the best idea to have that on the site...
PS - how much fuel was this engine "designed to burn"??? As much as COMP's truck ??
