SERVER BUSY

Fleetguard has a new fuel filter that releases lubrication into the fuel system.

Anybody try this yet?

Thoughts?

Sorry the link doesn't work correctly... I'll try to fix it.

Might be a membership thing... if you go into "Diesel Forums, then "General Diesel" look for the thread on "Solution to USLD".

The link to the boat diesel thread brings you to an interesting thread.

The gist of the millions of words written over the past year or so on ULSD lubricty seemed to conclude that lubricity levels would be brought up to an "all engines" standard by additives put in at the refinery or point of final distribution. "Further testing to continue".

I think I recall a TDR mag article that concluded that 2cycle oil might be a good addition. Not to re-enter the past discussions but does this mean that Cummins now has a different position on added Lubricity?

Haven't check this topic in a while.

Yes they appear to now be advocating adding lubricity to the fuel. I'm guessing they had warrantee issues.
