Thanks, I never knew there was anything else involved in the manufacturing process.

My point was only that if the same product had a lower cost 4-5 times the number of people would buy it. Lower profit margin --higher sales --more profit.

Henry Ford figured that out.

Switch to decaf, it is less BITTER.

I am happy though that there are people like you Mr Mysteryman (in the know) that walk into a car dealership and pay the Manufactures Suggested Retail Price without question.

It allows the car dealers to make deals with the rest of us "that clearly know nothing about" anything.

I am all for a fair price that allows both parties to be happy. One make a profit and another gets a quality product.

I hope I made my point without being a condesending fool. I like to think I am a decent person... ..... with a clue.

I mentioned I would post a pic of a Jeep. The exterior and tub are sprayed with LINE-X with Nason for no fadinge. We also sprayed the Fireman's Assoc. logo on the doors:

Military bullet proof ceramic/titanium plates that are inside their vests are coated with LINE-X. There are over 50,000 in use in Iraq and Afghanistan. To bad you were not available to tell the military that they are just paying for the LINE-X name. This plate stopped a sniper's bullet from killing this soldier:

My SAPI plates were coated with fabric. I did notice that the commercially available plates are coated with something that looks like Line-X. And a lot of that coating is to protect it from shattering when you hit it or fall on it. It's VERY brittle stuff.

What happened?

Recently I've contacted a few line-x guys here in Michigan and none of them have heard about Xtra. The Line-x site has no mention of Xtra either. Did they stop using it already or just taking time to get to all the different dealers?

BTW nice job on the Jeep.

LINE-X dealers must be certified by Dupont before they can spray Xtra. Dupont is going around the country conducting training classes. I don't know where Mich falls as far as scheduling. Tell the LINE-X dealers to contact their regional manager.

LINE-X is have their first world-wide convention in Dallas in February. I'm sure the LINE-X corporate will provide all the information dealers need about Xtra. Xtra should be available in colors about that time also.

I have some info on Xtra at www.linexfortworthtexas.com
