New PSD engine problem

I understand from a bunch of posts on the Ford site that they are having a major problem with something they call "CACKLE". Seems to be a poorly engineered high pressure injections system that is causing their engines to sound like all H*ll is breaking loose and their MPG goes into the toilet. Their stealer's say when they bring them in that they don't have a problem. Anybody here know what is happening to the PSD? What internal engine problems could this cause to the PSD?

This is very old news. It doesn't hurt the engine, it just cackles.

The young daughter of a PSD owner once said "Daddy, your truck sounds like a bowl of rice crispies"



Its another common problem in an engine that really is... . pretty crappy.

Hate to say it, guys, but mine cackles too!! Not sure what the problem is, though. It only does this when I'm passing a flor'd p. o. s. d. that can't quite get out of it's own way.
