I bought this. Its sitting at the dealer in Spokane 850 miles north of me. They beat Dave Smith in price and what they would give me for the 2011 1500 I bought last year.

That said, Im doing my best to make it all black. The dealer sent me a pic of it now before its been decked out with a couple of small items I am adding.

I want it black as in all black if possible, so the crew cab side steps are going to be black and no stainless on the mud flaps that are going on. It also has a bed liner and fifth wheel hitch and TRUXEDO bed cover that is the same that was on my 1500 that I loved, so I am doing it to this one.

Now I am probably going to remove and shoot the grill myself and want to put on a heavier front and rear bumper. That said, I dont want to spend $2500 on a front bumper. I dont need a winch but living in deer country and I want the bumper to be able to take that hit! Most of what I see are winch bumpers. Its not going off roading in bad areas I have two other trucks for that and a 77 Ramcharger designed to get dirty.

I am also going to want some nicer rims and tires. I have a diesel dually 1 ton 2005 that I kept the stock rims and tires on but they are a bit nicer.

I have not purchased after market rims in over 20 years, other than for my muscle cars and dont have any idea what decent. I would like a size to two bigger but not too big as this truck is going to be used to haul a 32 ft fifth wheel a lot when I retire.

I dont want that wagon wheel or pimp look either, just some nice decent black rims and tires. ?????

I know there are lots of guys on here with knowledge on these subjects, so what do you reccomend? I know someone out there knows front bumpers way better than me?

also, what does a front end leveling kit cost to purchase and which one and how hard to install?

Discount tire direct seems to have the best prices for wheels , I've used them in the past and was very happy with them. When one of my center caps got damaged they sent a new one at no cost. 285-70-17's look nice but 315-70-17's look much nicer and should fit with the leveling kit. As for a leveling kit I think Ram sells the super lift kit under their MOPAR name but for alot more money. If you follow the directions it's not hard to install. you just need two good floor jacks to make life easier. As for bumpers I looked for a set for my 05 a while back, something that would look nice and not give the truck that "Mad Max and the thunder dome" look I found a company in Ct that made Alu. bumpers they were very nice but very $$$$$$$$
